Stacking capability and performance for C3750 Switches is tested. The device or devices under test are connected together with CAB-STACK-30CM Cables.

IOS version numbers must be the same to perform the stack test. Once the test is complete Zeriva restores the prior IOS version to each switch, respectively. Additionally, once the stack testing is complete Zeriva resets switch passwords, tables and settings to factory defaults.

DUT(s) is / are added to a stack and the output from the test is confirmed. Stack State Machine View shows all switches with the same version and ready.

Verify DUT can act as ‘Master’

The show switch command is issued to get the priority value of the members of the stack.
The priority value of the DUT is changed so that it is greater than the highest priority in the stack.
The DUT is added to the stack.
DUT is powered on.
StackWise ports of the DUT are connected.
Election of Stack Master occurs.
DUT is elected Stack Master because it has the highest priority in the stack.
Once the switch is elected as stack master the master LED on the front panel of the 3750 turns green.
Technician issues show switch command and verifies DUT is elected as Stack Master.
